Job summary

Applied Materials Malta, NY is seeking a Process Support Engineer to guide products from concept to qualification. You will deliver high-visibility customer support through on-site work, system diagnoses, and repair of advanced semiconductor equipment.

You will collaborate with R&D teams to develop cutting-edge processes and perform DOEs and data analysis. The role requires a Bachelor's in STEM and 1–2 years in semiconductor capital equipment, with travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 1–2 years in Semiconductor Capital Equipment preferred.
• Experience in Applications or Process Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between customer and Business Unit to clarify issues and deliver solutions.
• Work with customers to optimize tool performance to meet process and integration needs.
• Check and approve system operational quality; instruct customers on operation and maintenance.
• Provide high-visibility support via on-site installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service and repair.
• Know 3+ processes across one or more technologies.
