Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Santa Clara is seeking a Process Support Engineer IV to guide semiconductor process development and support through on-site installations, diagnostics, and service of complex systems.

You will work with R&D teams to optimize dry etch processes, perform DOE studies, analyze data, and deliver high-impact engineering solutions for customers while leading project activities and mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/ physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or related field.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-visibility customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, and service of complex systems and equipment.
  • Develop leading-edge processes with customers to manufacture advanced semiconductor chips.
  • Create hypothesis experiments and DOEs; analyze data and report high-level conclusions.
