Job summary

DEKRA North America, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for DEKRA Process Safety consulting and testing services.

This role operates from a home office, engaging customers to understand operations, hazards, and objectives, and translating needs into practical, safety-focused solutions. You will lead proposals, shape scopes of work, and build long-term relationships while representing DEKRA at meetings, conferences, and webinars.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5+ years of direct consultative sales or business development in process safety or related technical services.
• Ability to translate customer needs into solutions with subject-matter experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultative discoveries with customers to understand processes, hazards, and business objectives.
• Own the commercial growth plan for assigned market segments and accounts.
• Develop customer-focused solutions using DEKRA’s process safety services, including risk assessments and regulatory reviews.
• Translate customer needs into comprehensive proposals with value, assumptions, and safety outcomes.
• Manage full sales cycle from market development to close and maintain CRM data.
• Grow strategic customer relationships and coordinate with DEKRA portfolio offerings.
