Job summary

Georgia-Pacific seeks a Process Safety Leader for its Brunswick Cellulose site in Brunswick, GA. This role is the primary process safety resource, directing the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of our process safety management systems across operations, maintenance, engineering, reliability, and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Safety, Operations, or related field.
• Five+ years in process safety, process engineering, manufacturing operations, or related roles.
• Experience with PSM, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, and EPA Risk Management Program requirements.
• Experience facilitating PHAs, MOC, and incident investigations.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across organization levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Process Safety Management (PSM) activities site-wide.
• Develop and execute risk reduction plans and safety improvements.
• Coach teams to strengthen process safety culture and PBM adherence.
• Oversee PHAs, MOC, PSSR, audits, and action closure.
• Support capital projects with safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with corporate safety resources to standardize practices.
• Monitor safety metrics and drive continuous improvement.
