Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Process Safety Leader at the Brunswick Cellulose facility in Brunswick, GA. This role is the site’s primary process safety resource and drives the development, implementation, and improvement of process safety management systems.

The leader partners with site and corporate leadership to strengthen process safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safe, reliable operations through risk management and PBM-guided practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process safety or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience with PSM systems and OSHA/EPA requirements.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide process safety leadership for the site, focusing on reducing risk and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Serve as site owner for Process Safety Management (PSM) and continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead PHAs, revalidations, and other risk assessments.
• Develop and execute site risk reduction plans for process safety performance.
• Provide technical leadership for MOC and PSSR processes.
• Coordinate audits, self-assessments, and corrective action closure.
