Job summary

Grace is seeking a Process Safety Leader to drive the plant's process safety initiatives at the Curtis Bay, MD site. The role partners with maintenance, engineering, and operations on PSM activities, risk assessments, training, and incident investigations to improve safety and reliability.

The successful candidate will manage MOC processes, support PSM information systems, and contribute to capital project input to strengthen EHS deliverables. On-site work and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in process safety, manufacturing, engineering, or operations in chemical-related industries.
• Experience facilitating Process Hazard Analyses (PHA/HAZOP).
• Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the site Process Safety Management (PSM) program and ensure information is accurate and accessible.
• Ensure conformity with Grace procedures and OSHA 1910.119 PSM requirements and related regulations.
• Facilitate PHA/LOPA and risk assessments (HAZOPs, What-ifs, FMEA).
• Manage the site Safety Instrumented Systems program and oversee devices design/installation.
• Participate in incident investigations and RCCA; address findings and corrective actions.
• Conduct field walks with proper PPE to verify safeguards during startups and changes.
