Job summary

Grace, a Standard Industries company, is seeking a Process Safety Leader to drive site process safety initiatives in Curtis Bay, MD. You will partner with maintenance, process technology, engineering, and operations on PHA/LOPA, risk assessment, training, incident investigation, RCCA and MOC processes, with on-site responsibility and a focus on continuous improvement.

The role requires 7+ years in process safety, a technical bachelor's degree, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in process safety, manufacturing, engineering, or operations within chemical industries.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating Process Hazard Analyses (PHA/HAZOP).
• Experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the site Process Safety Management (PSM) program, including MOC gatekeeping and Enablon administration.
• Ensure conformance with Grace PSM procedures and OSHA 1910.119 requirements.
• Facilitate PHA/LOPA and risk assessments (HAZOPs, What-Ifs, FMEA).
• Oversee Safety Instrumented Systems program and device installations.
• Participate in incident investigation and RCCA activities.
• Handle process safety related material (PSE Events, PHAs, MOCs, audit findings).
• Perform field walks to verify safeguarding for startups and changes.
• Oversee Relief & Pressure device program and documentation.
