Job summary

DEKRA North America’s Princeton Process Safety Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct testing that determines combustibility, explosibility, reactivity, and flammability of client materials. You will generate data to support safety decisions and client reports, working with engineers and scientists in a hands-on lab.

Qualifications

Basic working knowledge of good laboratory practices, general lab equipment, and PPE usage.
Laboratory work experience in related areas or pilot plant setting.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
2-4 year degree in a technical area with 0-2 years relevant work experience or equivalent laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by following procedures.
Plan, set-up, and troubleshoot lab scale equipment.
Conduct standard and non-standard testing with minimal supervision.
Set up, validate and troubleshoot laboratory testing systems with test engineers.
