DEKRA North America is seeking a Process Safety Testing Engineer in Princeton, NJ. This regular full-time role focuses on designing calorimetry tests, analyzing data, and supporting client risk assessments in industrial safety applications.

You will work with customers, manage testing logs, and maintain equipment while adhering to safety procedures and regulations. The position requires a chemistry lab background and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or related field.
• 2+ years of work experience in a chemistry laboratory.
• Experience in laboratory calorimetry preferred.
• Must understand good laboratory practices, laboratory equipment, and PPE usage.
• Laboratory work in related areas or pilot scale plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute custom thermal stability experiments interfacing with customers as necessary.
• Plan, set-up, and troubleshoot lab scale equipment.
• Independently conduct standard and non-standard testing on a daily basis.
• Manage, report and analyze data in a professional and standardized manner.
• Maintain test equipment, testing logs, and related records.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by following established procedures and policies.
