Job summary

Arclin in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Process Safety Engineer to ensure safety and reliability of chemical processes through risk assessments and PSM program implementations. You will serve as a technical leader in process safety across manufacturing operations.

You will lead PHA/LOPA activities, support audits, and provide training and guidance to engineering and operations teams, while staying current with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PSM principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with PHA, HAZOP, LOPA and risk assessment techniques.
• EPA RMP knowledge is a plus.
• Professional certification is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process safety management programs.
• Lead PHA, LOPA, and risk assessments with follow-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design safety systems.
• Perform safety evaluations of processes, equipment, facilities.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analyses.
• Provide technical safety guidance to teams.
• Participate in process safety audits.
• Deliver training on process safety topics.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report to management.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
