Job summary

Lilly Medicine Foundry in Indiana seeks a Sr. Engineer - Process Safety to support safety reviews, risk assessments, and ongoing compliance during rapid change in a state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing environment.

You will partner with scientists and engineers, own safety program elements, and contribute to continuous improvement while preparing for operational readiness and safe startup. This role is ideal for growth in process safety within API chemistry and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in a Process Engineering or Process Safety Engineering role in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment and chemistry Process Hazard Reviews (PHRs) and verify scope coverage.
• Drive resolution of PHR action items with different engineering/operations teams.
• Support Operations-led Pre-Startup Safety Review execution.
• Own and maintain elements of the Foundry Process Safety Management program.
• Provide front-line process safety support to engineers, scientists, operators, and maintenance.
