Job summary

Lilly in Indiana seeks a Sr. Engineer - Process Safety for the Lilly Medicine Foundry to support equipment and chemistry Process Hazard Reviews and startup safety reviews. You will partner with engineers, scientists, operators, and maintenance on day-to-day process safety questions in a high-change environment.

The role develops depth in compliance with mentorship and access to the GIPSMT and Global HSE community, across API manufacturing chemistry and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in process engineering or process safety in pharma/chemical.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and execution of PHRs for equipment and chemistry.
• Drive action item resolution with engineering, operations, and maintenance.
• Support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and day-to-day process safety questions.
• Own elements of Foundry Process Safety Management program and improve them.
• Provide frontline support to engineers, scientists, operators, and maintenance.
