Job summary

Lilly is seeking a seasoned engineer at the Engineering Technology Center in Indianapolis to provide process safety technical support for manufacturing. The role focuses on pressure relief hazards, Mechanical Integrity, and GP/SIM processes across site operations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least 8 years in pharma or specialty chemical settings, with US work authorization. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in pharma or specialty chemical labs/manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for GIPSM processes including Mechanical Integrity and pressure safety.
• Provide internal capability to evaluate pressure relief sizing and review third‑party results.
• Support MI elements, asset integrity, and readiness reviews across maintenance packages.
• Collaborate on process hazards, LOPA, event investigations, and safety standards.
