Job summary

Lilly is hiring a Sr. Engineer - Process Safety to support the Lilly Medicine Foundry (LMF).

The role focuses on equipment and chemistry PHRs, PSSRs, and site readiness, collaborating closely with scientists, engineers, operators and maintenance to ensure safety and compliance in a fast-changing diagnostics environment. The successful candidate will mentor under the site PSM lead, gain exposure to API manufacturing chemistry, and contribute to a comprehensive safety program across Lilly

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field required.
2+ years of experience in a process engineering or process safety engineering role in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.

Responsibilities

Support equipment and chemistry Process Hazard Reviews (PHRs) and drive action resolution.
Support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and provide front-line safety guidance.
Own elements of the Foundry Process Safety Management program and drive continuous improvement.
Provide cross-functional support to engineers, scientists, operators, and maintenance on process safety questions.
Contribute to root cause analysis investigations and corrective action development.
Assist in safety information generation and in Management of Change reviews for new products and changes.
