Job summary

Minth North America is seeking a Process Planning Engineer in Wixom, MI to design, develop, and optimize production processes for automotive components. You will plan workflows, develop PFMEA, process flow diagrams, and drive process improvements to reduce waste and improve quality.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years in manufacturing or process engineering, with familiarity of IATF 16949 and APQP tools. CAD skills (CATIA/NX) and Excel are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
Familiarity with IATF 16949 and APQP core tools.

Responsibilities

Quotation phase: evaluate process feasibility and plan tooling; support quotation decisions.
Project award phase: develop PFMEA, PFD, and process plans; define SP characteristics.
Plan production line layout, equipment, and tooling; monitor implementation.
Perform takt time and OEE analysis to identify bottlenecks and capacity needs.
Drive implementation of error-proofing solutions and process improvements.
Support change management and handover; standardize planning practices.
