Job summary

Minth North America, Inc. in Wixom, MI is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the design, qualification, and supervision of automated assembly equipment.

The role includes diagnosing tooling and process issues, coordinating RFQs, and ensuring robust performance of robotic systems. You will install and maintain robots, develop SOPs, train staff, and oversee procurement and inventory of spare parts while adhering to TPM and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, automation, electrical engineering, or related field.
• More than five years of experience in manufacturing automation management.
• Proficiency in Office and CAD software with knowledge of mechanical or electrical design.
• Familiarity with TPM principles and equipment maintenance systems.
• Strong under pressure with cross-cultural communication skills.
• Bilingual Mandarin and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, qualify, and supervise automated assembly equipment design and validation.
• Diagnose and propose solutions for tooling and processing issues.
• Install, commission, and maintain robotic systems for optimal performance.
• Prepare RFQs based on designs and operations sequences.
• Lead safety, TPM, and maintenance programs for robotics.
• Train personnel and manage spare parts inventory.
• Evaluate MOS and system audits; implement corrective actions.
• Establish local technical team training.
