Job summary

Minth North America, Wixom, MI, is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of automated assembly equipment in automotive manufacturing. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure robotic systems meet product requirements.

The role requires diagnosing issues, developing SOPs, managing procurements, and ensuring safe, productive operations. A bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing automation are required; bilingual

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, automation, electrical engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation management.
Proficiency in Office and CAD software.
Knowledge of TPM principles and practices.
Ability to work under pressure and strong cross-cultural communication skills.
Bilingual Mandarin and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of robotic systems to optimize performance.
Develop SOPs and standardize operating procedures for robotic equipment.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for robots and tooling issues.
Lead automation projects, including path programming and tooling improvements.
Manage procurement and inventory of spare parts and ensure safety compliance on site.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to meet project milestones and budgets.
Train local technical staff and establish maintenance best practices.
