Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Process Operator in Deer Park, Texas, to safely operate basic control systems and monitor critical parameters while ensuring environmental stewardship.

The role requires lifting, frequent movement, and readiness to work rotating shifts and overtime. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, plus an associate degree in Process Technology or equivalent experience, including military or manufacturing backgrounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with either an Associate degree or higher, or pursuing an Associate's degree in Process Technology.
• Military service in a technical specialty may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Five or more years of manufacturing experience as a Production Technician/Operator or related role with strong technical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• May be required to join the Houston Hub Emergency Response Team for a minimum of 2 years.
• Valid US Driver's License and ability to obtain forklift certification upon hire.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift and overtime as required (including weekends and holidays).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products.
• Lift hoses and operate valves and similar equipment with proper clearance and isolation of equipment.
• Follow operating discipline, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Control, monitor and adjust control systems and manually operated equipment.
• Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety and environmental problems and identify maintenance needs.
• Ensure safe and efficient maintenance and project work.
• Act as a resource for other Technicians on tasks and prioritization of work.
• Take ownership for accurate completion of all assigned tasks.
• Cover vacancies on multiple shifts as needed in various operator roles.
• Complete all duties with strong dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
