Job summary

Dow seeks a Process Operator in Texas City, TX to manage routine control systems, monitor process variables, and transfer products safely. The role requires lifting, operating valves, and adherence to operating discipline with strong safety stewardship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with one of: Associate degree with science/tech coursework and communications classes.
• In lieu of a degree, 3+ years of military technical service.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience as Production Technician/Operator with strong technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic control systems to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow; transfer products.
• Lift hoses and operate valves; properly clear and isolate equipment.
• Follow procedures to ensure safe, efficient operation and perform maintenance tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety and environmental issues; identify equipment needing maintenance.
• Support other operators/technicians and train as needed; complete tasks accurately.
