Job summary

Dow in Texas City is seeking a Process Operator to monitor basic control systems, perform sampling, calibration checks, and support safe, compliant plant operations on rotating shifts. The role emphasizes precision, safety and environmental stewardship within a high-demand manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with science/tech coursework, or military technical experience, or 5+ years in manufacturing as a production technician/operator.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with college science/technology coursework, or military technical service, or 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Valid US Driver's License and ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays; English proficiency; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic control systems and monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow.
• Lift hoses and operate valves; clear and isolate equipment as required.
• Follow safety and operating procedures for safe and efficient operations.
• Control and adjust on control systems and manually operated equipment.
• Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety, and environmental issues; identify maintenance needs.
• Assist other operators and technicians; prioritize tasks.
• Train other operators as needed; cover shifts across roles.
• Communicate with transportation providers and maintain records.
