Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Operator for its Sabine River Operations in Orange, Texas. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and optimal plant operation, working with a shift team to anticipate and resolve unplanned events and escalate issues as needed.

You will operate process equipment, monitor performance metrics, and participate in emergency response training. The position requires a 12-hour shift schedule and overtime as needed, with strict safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and one or both of the following:
• Associate degree or higher in Process Plant Technology or related field.
• In lieu of a degree Dow will consider those with 3 or more years of relevant military experience.
• Successful candidates must be able to work 12-hour shift schedule and work overtime as required, including Holidays and Weekends.
• Must have valid US Drivers License.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions, metrics, field equipment and control systems to maintain desired rates and conditions.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and attend required training.
• Conduct shift relief and handoff to arriving shift team.
• Use process knowledge to improve plant performance and identify improvements.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train operations personnel on process operation and emergency response.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks arising from events.
• Perform Immediate Response/Severe Weather Response activities as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate degree or higher in Process Plant Technology or related field
