Job summary

Dow Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Operator in Orange, Texas within Sabine River Operations.

You will use your operations knowledge to safely and reliably operate the plant, collaborating with shift teammates to anticipate and resolve unplanned events and escalate issues when needed. You will monitor process equipment, respond to process conditions, and participate in ongoing training to maintain safety and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in an Operations role in chemical manufacturing or 3+ years military equivalent accepted.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and overtime, including holidays and weekends.
• Must have a valid US Driver's License.
• US work authorization—no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems; make decisions to maintain/achieve desired rates.
• Serve on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and complete required training.
• Conduct effective shift relief and handoff to arriving shift team.
• Identify process improvements and communicate via management of change processes.
