Job summary

Dow Inc. in Orange, Texas within Sabine River Operations is seeking an Operator to run the plant safely and efficiently. You will work with the shift team to anticipate issues and escalate as needed, using process knowledge to maintain performance and reliability.

You will monitor equipment, follow discipline procedures, participate in trainings, mentor teammates, and perform both planned and unplanned tasks while supporting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in an Operations role within a chemical environment, or 3+ years military experience.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and overtime, including holidays and weekends.
• Valid US driver's license and legal work status in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems to meet production goals.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team and complete required training.
• Conduct shift relief and ensure smooth handoffs to incoming crew.
• Identify improvements and apply change-management to raise plant performance.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentor and train operators on operation, troubleshooting and discipline.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled operational tasks as needed.
• Execute Immediate/Severe Weather responses as assigned.
