Job summary

Ingredion in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Process Lead to serve as a prime technical resource for production planning, troubleshooting and continuous improvement in safety, quality and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in chemical or mechanical engineering and 3–5 years of process engineering experience, including process automation and PLC concepts. You will lead and coordinate maintenance, ensure ISO/GMP compliance, and drive cost-effective improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a process-related engineering discipline (Chemical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
• 3-5 years' experience as an Engineer involved with process troubleshooting, project development, and implementation, with experience in process automation or PLC operations.
• Knowledge of Corn Wet Milling and Refining manufacturing or similar food processing.
• Familiar with GMP, Quality, Environmental Management and Health & Safety regulations.
• Commitment to working in a safe environment and understanding occupational health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety input when designing or redesigning processes or equipment to prevent injuries.
• Support safety and quality initiatives, including investigations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and GMP requirements and environmental standards.
• Coordinate maintenance and reliability efforts to meet production goals.
• Lead improvement teams and drive continuous improvement across production.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure adherence to plant rules and training requirements.
