Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Process Safety & Environmental Manager for its U.S./Canada operations, with locations in Indianapolis, IN or North Kansas City, MO. You will lead process safety programs, drive environmental compliance, and collaborate across Operations, Engineering, EHS, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety, Risk Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety (EHS), process safety, or engineering roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance with environmental and process safety regulations.
• Experience conducting environmental and Process Safety Management (PSM) audits, managing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of environmental permitting requirements and experience supporting permit applications, renewals, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate process safety programs across the business segment (PSM, RMP, Dust, Dry Thermal) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate PHAs, DHAs, DTRs, PSSRs, and MOC processes to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Chair the North America Process Safety Committee and monitor performance, actions, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain environmental, health, and process safety policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead process safety incident investigations, audits, and insurance inspections; ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Provide technical process safety guidance to Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, and contractors; support capital projects through design reviews and startup readiness.
• Build process safety competency through training, coaching, and mentoring across reliability and maintenance teams.
