Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Bedford Park, IL, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to design, optimize, and standardize manufacturing processes across plants. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement for safety, efficiency, and financial outcomes.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Process & Control Systems Engineering, you will collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver scalable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in manufacturing process optimization and standardization.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills applied to complex manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complex engineering designs, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and cost estimates.
• Lead process optimization initiatives to improve production efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Drive implementation and adherence to Best Operating Practices (BOP) and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex process deviations with sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain) to solve challenges and implement improvements.
• Ensure accurate and compliant Management of Change (MOC) documentation for process updates.
• Share and scale best practices and new technologies across sites to drive enterprise-wide impact.
