Job summary

MetOx International, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineering Co‑Op/Intern for Spring/Summer 2027 in Houston, TX. You will work closely with experienced engineers on production processes, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers hands‑on experience with DOE, defect testing, and data management, and may include a stipend for non‑local full‑time co‑ops. This is part of MetOx’s 2027 Co‑Op/Intern Program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with material characterization tools (SEM, EDX, Optical Microscopy, XRD).
• Familiar with JMP or Minitab for statistics and data analysis.
• Strong safety awareness in lab/manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Characterize materials and test defects using SEM/EDX/Optical Microscopy/XRD.
• Support DOE design of experiments and track product flow.
• Analyze data and develop reports; maintain dashboards and defect trends.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist with SOPs, work instructions, and documentation as projects progress.
