Job summary

CMC is hiring for a role that supports our steel, construction reinforcement, and ground stabilization projects. You will review proposals, manage costs, and communicate with customers to ensure profitability and schedule adherence.

The position involves field work, visits to sites, and collaboration across departments. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference for candidates who bring MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or related business.
  • Extensive experience managing large construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment.
  • Experience with field work and understanding customer needs.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with MS Project; AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review project proposals and plans to determine time frames, funding margins, and procedures.
  • Prepare reports for management and/or customers.
  • Interact with customers based on project changes.
  • Manage costs and maximize profitability.
  • Liaise between customers and internal departments.
  • Occasional local site or customer office visits.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job.
  • Other responsibilities assigned.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or other similar businesses
  • Extensive experience managing large construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
  • Experienced with field work and understanding the customer’s needs
  • Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred; AutoCAD skills are a plus
  • Will vary; dependent upon project requirements

Your Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
