Job summary

CMC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, procurement, and construction phases of steel, concrete, and reinforcement projects. You will work with operations to scope projects, develop budgets, and set schedules while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires experience with fast-track projects, strong teamwork, and proficiency with MS Office and project management tools. Travel to project sites may be required.

  • Experience on fast-track projects and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Team player with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project sites.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with operations team to define scope, develop budgets and schedule.
  • Design and/or supervise and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects.
  • Complete designs and provide value engineering.
  • Develop construction specifications, bid packages, budget cost estimates, construction schedules, permitting, etc. as required to insure completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop, establish, and maintain engineering budgets.
  • Coordinate and account for any changes in scope of work.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each project.
  • Ability to travel.

What You’ll Do
  • Work with operations team to define scope, develop budgets and schedule

What You’ll Need
  • Experience working on fast-track projects
  • Demonstrated experience and/or skills working on multiple projects of varied degrees of complexity at the same time
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent work ethic, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Goal orientated
  • Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred
Your Education
  • 4-Year ABET Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline required
