Job summary

PSI is seeking a Chemical Engineer for a large manufacturing plant in Cleveland. The role focuses on process optimization, plant trials, and technical evaluations of existing chemical processes.

You will design improvements and support capital projects while upholding Process Safety and plant standards. The candidate will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, providing technical leadership and practical solutions to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required.
• 1-5 years in process or chemical engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience with chemical processes and equipment preferred.
• Ability to apply chemical engineering principles to troubleshooting and design.
• Familiarity with Process Safety concepts and hazard analyses preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform process optimization studies and plant trials.
• Develop process design recommendations for improvements and capital projects.
• Support technical evaluations of existing processes and equipment.
• Provide engineering calculations and project deliverables.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses and safety activities.
• Lead and mentor engineers and technicians as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and plant leadership to troubleshoot issues.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain SHE compliance.
