Job summary

Opella is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Plant Manager in delivering benchmark results, with focus on OEE, quality, material utilization, scrap, and cost. You will own daily QDCI huddles and drive loss-elimination actions and OEE analyses.

This is a 1st shift role, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM. You’ll work to develop process capability, monitor metrics, and provide technical coaching across work centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science discipline preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing of pharmaceuticals or food and beverage industries preferred.
• Weekly and monthly reports to support improvement and KPI tracking.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and SAP exposure are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Defect handling ownership: identify root cause and drive elimination.
• Centerline ownership: develop capability, track in-process CL metrics, coach results.
• Quality ownership: develop capability, track/influence quality standards, coach results.
• Process reliability support: monitor OEE, uptime/downtime, scrap; analyze variances.
• Project support: assist engineering studies; ensure startup criteria are met.
