Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and improve molded fiber manufacturing processes and provide leadership for associates supporting quality and process monitoring.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, CI/PI systems experience, and knowledge of molding with SolidWorks/AutoCAD. You will oversee lab and process technicians, ensure quality, and uphold GMP standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing with process control and quality inspection.
• Continuous Improvement experience and SPC/Gain Seeker experience are desired.
• Food Safety/GMP experience is highly desired.
• Paper science or paper making experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes: reduce cycle times, increase throughput, improve quality, and minimize scrap.
• Create and maintain engineering/process docs (mold specs, PFMEAs, Process Flow diagrams).
• Set-up and optimize processing parameters based on material and equipment.
• Develop molding procedures for consistent processing across shifts.
• Monitor daily production efficiencies and drive cost savings.
• Perform DOE and capability studies; identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Oversee lab/process technicians and the quality program; coordinate NSF audit and GMP standards.
• Address safety issues promptly and maintain strong safety and attendance records.
