Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related
- 3+ years in pulp mill, fiber prep, or paper/packaging operation
- Strong pulping, stock prep, refining, and fiber quality knowledge
- Data-driven with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative work with operations, Product Development and R&D
Responsibilities
- Develop fiber blends, refining targets, and stock approach conditions to meet product performance requirements.
- Translate briefs into pulp and stock specs and run trials from bench to pilot to mill scale.
- Own scale-up from lab/pilot to production-ready process windows.
- Monitor and optimize pulping, washing, refining, and stock prep for trials and commercial grades.
- Drive cost reductions, improve fiber yield, and ensure quality targets during product development.
