Job summary

ATI is seeking a technically driven engineer to support and optimize melting and remelting operations for nickel, cobalt, and specialty steel alloys. You will lead process improvements, maintain SPC limits, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure high quality, safe operations.

The role involves troubleshooting non-conformances, participating in audits, and guiding continuous improvement initiatives across VIM, ESR, and VAR processes with relocation provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in metallurgical engineering or materials science with internships/co-op in metals.
• Experience or exposure to high‑temperature melting/remelting processes and alloys.
• Strong data analysis, SPC, and process improvement exposure.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical contact for melting/remelting of Ni/Co-base alloys and specialty steels (VIM/ESR/VAR).
• Support formulation, conditioning, and preparatory operations.
