Job summary

ATI is seeking a technically driven engineer to support and optimize melting and remelting operations (VIM/ESR/VAR) for nickel, cobalt, and specialty steels. You will act as a key technical contact, drive process excellence, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering or related field.
• Internships or co-op in metals-related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contact for complete melting/remelting of Ni/Co-base alloys.
• Establish and monitor SPC limits for melt/remelt processes.
• Support formulation, conditioning, and preparatory operations.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement via data analysis and trials.
