Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking an engineer to support continuous improvement and new product development for production processes and equipment within our fenestration operations.

You will collaborate with design engineering and production to improve methods for window and door manufacturing, apply lean manufacturing practices, and assist with specifying production equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing, or related).
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably fenestration.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for continuous improvement and new product development for production processes and equipment, including process information improvements, cross-facility integration, lean manufacturing, layout design, material handling, and equipment specs.
• Work with design engineering and production to establish and improve methods and systems for window and door manufacturing.
• Provide additional support as required.
