Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, a fourth-generation family-owned company and one of the largest lumber and millwork producers in the U.S., seeks a qualified Design Engineer to join our Windows division in Red Bluff, CA or Medford, WI. You will design, test, and analyze window and door systems and contribute to manufacturing process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in window/door design, a BS in mechanical engineering, proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of window/door design experience.
• BS degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with window/door designs and installation is a plus.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and analyze window and door systems.
• Design, test, and analyze new and existing products.
• Assist in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Work with suppliers to evaluate components and materials.
• Work with sales and marketing teams and evaluate feedback on product performance.
• Assist with testing and certification of products.
• Provide and maintain accurate documentation regarding products.
• Work in a team environment involving production, customer service, and sales.
