Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Medford, Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to collaborate with production, product development, customer service and sales staff. This is not a remote role and requires living in the Medford area.

You will provide engineering support for continuous improvement and new product development, specify equipment, coordinate installation and tooling, and help integrate processes across facilities in window and door manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing, or related).
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing with fenestration exposure preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Technical/mechanical abilities and understanding of window/door production a plus.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for continuous improvement efforts and new product development with regard to production processes and equipment.
• Specify production equipment and coordinate installation/modification, assisting with problem solving.
• Integrate processes across multiple facilities and design fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Work with design engineering and production to improve methods for window and door manufacturing.
