Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Process Engineer in Destrehan, LA to support a facility by improving efficiencies, troubleshooting operations, and assisting capital project design. You will apply engineering principles within Bunge Core Values to help keep the facility competitive.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, project planning for productivity improvements, KPI optimization, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure successful project execution and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, agricultural, electrical, or chemical engineering is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in plant operations, maintenance and safety is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
• Knowledge of design codes and government regulations affecting industry including NFPA 36, NFPA 61, OSHA and EPA is preferred.
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Has worked on projects up to $1M with varying complexity.

Responsibilities

• Follow Process Safety Management program guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Drive efficiencies by reducing costs without compromising safety.
• Plan and develop productivity improvement projects focusing on PQSE gap closure and KPI optimization.
• Evaluate Lean Sigma opportunities and assist with implementation.
• Provide technical assistance to operations on dry material handling, air flows, heat exchange, electricity/power, PLCs, steam and liquid movement/storage.
