Job summary

Bunge in Emporia, Kansas seeks a process engineer to support the facility by improving efficiencies, troubleshooting operations, and aiding capital project design, following Bunge core values.

You will apply process safety, lean sigma, and KPI-driven productivity initiatives, coordinate CapEx proposals, assist with vendor assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance across PQSE areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, agricultural, electrical or chemical engineering is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in plant operations, maintenance and safety is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCad, MS Word, Excel and Project.

Responsibilities

• Follow Process Safety Management program guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations and Bunge policies.
• Drive efficiencies by reducing costs without compromising safety.
• Plan and develop projects for productivity improvement related to PQSE gap closure while optimizing KPI.
• Evaluate Lean Sigma opportunities and assist with implementation.
• Provide technical assistance on dry material handling, air flows, heat exchange, electricity, PLCs, steam and liquid movement/storage.
• Coordinate with management to define technical needs and CapEx requirements; assist with CapEx proposals.
