Job summary

Johnsonville, LLC invites applications for a Process Engineer Intern position for Summer 2027 at the Tech Center in Sheboygan Falls, WI. The internship combines hands-on project work with mentoring from plant leadership to drive operational excellence across facilities.

You will learn day-to-day plant performance processes, participate in Kaizen initiatives, and develop process maps while collaborating with production, quality, maintenance, and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Operations Management; junior/senior preferred.
• Minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
• Previous work experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of process flow and lean principles.
• Ability to work off shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day plant performance processes in Reliability Excellence.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, sanitation, safety, and operations functions.
• Participate in Kaizen projects to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
• Help collect and analyze OEE and downtime to support decision-making.
• Review standards for processes and measure existing performance across facilities.
• Develop process maps and analyze conditions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Work independently and with multiple site Operations Teams.
• Maintain accurate work records in notebooks and project reports.
