Job summary

The role requires a BS/MS in Engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel, Access, and Minitab.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Ceramic Engineering.
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced plant setting.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization and communicate clearly.
• Apply scientific methods and engineering principles to solve problems thoroughly.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills; proficient with Excel, Access and Minitab.
• Determine best solution from alternatives within plant guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing manufacturing processes, equipment and capabilities.
• Support or lead continuous improvement, cost-reduction, and new equipment installs.
• Solve material and process issues in production via data analysis and collaboration.
• Document and share material/process knowledge across the organization.
• Provide engineering-level production support and participate in safety initiatives.
• Lead or support projects involving cost reduction and process optimization.
• Develop systems to monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Integrate new technologies to improve process capability during transfers.
