Corning Incorporated in Hickory, NC is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a small team focused on process optimization, continuous improvement, and new product/process integration in a manufacturing environment.

This role drives capacity, quality, and cost performance while developing technical talent and aligning engineering efforts with business objectives. 40-hour week with ~10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a listed technical field and 5+ years engineering experience in process engineering or manufacturing support.
• Experience leading process improvement, cost reduction, or new product/process integration projects.
• Experience managing or mentoring teams in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Proficiency with data analysis and statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, JMP, Python).
• Experience with Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies.
• Ability to travel ~10%, with occasional weekend or after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement projects focused on capacity expansion, yield, quality, and cost reduction with detailed project plans.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting complex process issues using data analysis.
• Lead implementation and integration of new processes and technologies with robust transfer and validation.
• Standardize and replicate best practices across operations, partnering with peer sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with quality and business standards.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
