Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Durham, NC is seeking a Process/Manufacturing Engineer to improve and develop systems and equipment across core processes to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements. You will lead with a People, Process, Equipment focus and drive standardization and improvements.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, applying Green Belt concepts, budgeting for improvements, and mentoring shopfloor personnel while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required with 1 year of engineering experience preferred
• Associate’s degree in engineering with 2 years of engineering experience required
• High School Diploma with 4 years of engineering experience required
• Three years of engineering experience in maintenance, design or process improvement preferred
• Knowledgeable in Instrument & Electrical, Mechanical, Control/SCADA/PLCs; RCA & RCM a plus

Responsibilities

• Coach & mentor peers and shopfloor personnel
• Support technical development of shopfloor personnel
• Use lean tools for problem solving, project and change management
• Lead cross-functional process improvements
• Develop plans to improve process performance using green belt concepts
• Develop & manage project budgets for improvements
• Support event response activities
• Share best practices across sites for improvement projects
• Maintain standards for procedures & maintenance plans
• Follow safety and environmental requirements
