Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC seeks an experienced IT/Engineering leader to ensure reliable operation of manufacturing applications. You will improve process control reliability, lead continuous improvement, and coordinate upgrades while partnering with shop floor, IT, and QA teams.

Responsibilities include managing large IT projects, defining standards, contributing to audits, and applying Lean/Six Sigma methods. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT/Engineering or related field required with 8+ years in process-based manufacturing.
• Alternative: Associate’s Degree in IT/Engineering with 10+ years in process-based manufacturing may be considered.
• Knowledgeable in PAS-X, POInT, PLC, SCADA.
• Strong project management, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate high level direction into actionable Lean/Six Sigma tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work with production and corporate as liaison, ensuring application understanding and process improvements.
• Present initiatives clearly to customers, avoiding industry jargon.
• Identify stakeholder requirements and address process gaps with action plans.
• Develop and implement actions to support production goals.
• Provide input to product feature enhancements and process improvements.
• Coordinate and oversee software upgrades and releases to applicable systems.
• Coach and train colleagues and stakeholders in relevant areas.
• Lead large projects involving specified application solutions.
