Job summary

Novo Nordisk's Emerging Technologies - Solid Dosage Forms US site in Durham seeks engineers to develop and optimize systems and equipment meeting customer, business and regulatory needs. You will coach teams, drive cross-functional improvements, apply lean tools and manage budgets for process enhancements and maintenance plans.

Responsibilities include mentoring shopfloor staff, supporting technical development, leading change projects, and collaborating across OFP sites while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university required with one (1) year of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent preferred
• Associate’s degree in engineering or relevant field with two (2) years of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent required
• High School Diploma (GED) with four (4) years engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent required
• Three (3) years of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent preferred
• Knowledgeable in Instrument & Electrical, Mechanical, Control/SCADA/PLCs, Process Improvement Methodologies, RCA &RCM a plus

Responsibilities

• Coach & mentor peers as well as Shopfloor personnel
• Support technical development of Shopfloor personnel
• Employ advanced cLEAN tools within problem solving, project & change management
• Lead cross-functional process improvements
• Develop plans to improve performance of a process or systems using green belt concepts
• Develop & manage project budget for improvements for a process or systems
• Support event response activities
• Support implementation of better practices & knowledge sharing across OFP sites
• Maintain & establish standards for procedures & maintenance plans
• Support global OFP collaboration initiatives
• Follow safety and environmental requirements
• Other accountabilities, as assigned
