Novo Nordisk, in Durham, NC, seeks a maintenance/process engineer to improve and develop systems and equipment for core manufacturing processes. You will focus on people, process, and equipment standards, aiming to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.

This role requires a BS in engineering with related experience or equivalent, and knowledge of RCA/RCM plus SCADA/PLC systems. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required with one year of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent preferred
• Associate’s degree in engineering with two years of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent required
• High School Diploma (GED) with four years engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification/equivalent required
• Three years of engineering experience in maintenance, design, process improvement, or Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent preferred
• Knowledgeable in Instrument & Electrical, Mechanical, Control/SCADA/PLCs, Process Improvement Methodologies, RCA & Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) a plus

Responsibilities

• Coach & mentor peers and Shopfloor personnel
• Support technical development of Shopfloor personnel
• Employ advanced lean tools within problem solving, project & change management
• Lead cross-functional process improvements
• Develop plans to improve performance using green belt concepts
• Develop & manage project budget for improvements
• Support event response activities
• Support implementation of better practices & participate in sharing knowledge across OFP sites for improvement projects
• Maintain & establish standards for procedures & maintenance plans
• Support global OFP collaboration initiatives
• Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
• Other accountabilities, as assigned
