Job summary

Novo Nordisk seeks a maintenance-focused engineer to improve systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with customer, business, and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes People, Process, and Equipment focus and uses Lean and Green Belt concepts to drive improvements.

The position involves coaching peers, developing shopfloor talent, and leading cross-functional process optimization initiatives across the Durham site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university; one year of engineering experience preferred.
• May consider alternative degrees with required engineering experience in maintenance or process improvement.
• Knowledgeable in instrumentation, electrical, mechanical systems and RC/M methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor peers and shopfloor personnel.
• Support technical development of staff on the shop floor.
• Apply advanced lean tools for problem solving, projects, and change management.
• Lead cross-functional process improvements.
• Develop plans to improve process performance using green belt concepts.
• Develop and manage project budgets for improvements.
• Support safety and environmental requirements and site standards.
