Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Process Engineer in Rolling Meadows, IL to join its Manufacturing Engineering team. You will research, design, develop, procure, test, maintain, and improve a range of electronic and electro-optical equipment, including EO DAS, IFTS, and EOSS systems.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 2+ years of experience in process development, fixture design, and manufacturing. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in process development, fixture design and troubleshooting.
• Experience in hardware design and manufacturing.
• Experience with reviewing engineering drawings.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, procure, test, and implement process improvements.
• Support repair and sustainment of EO DAS sensors and FLIR systems.
• Design and validate new manufacturing processes and fixtures.
• Create and maintain manufacturing engineering docs like change notices and eWI.
• Provide guidance on failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot production hardware to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve hardware issues.
• Develop performance metrics to drive cost and efficiency improvements.
