Job summary

hargroveepc is seeking an experienced process engineer to perform complete process design tasks under general supervision. You will contribute to design criteria, develop layouts, and prepare calculations and drawings while coordinating with other disciplines to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of industrial process design experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/Microstation), and a solid grounding in safety practices within design work.

Qualifications

• Promotes the culture of working safely and applying safety related concepts into process design.
• Basic knowledge of chemical/biochemical process engineering and chemical/biochemical process computer programs.
• Familiarity with specifications and installation details of equipment, instrumentation, and piping.
• Ability to create accurate process engineering documents from the information provided in vendor equipment data and drawings.
• Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Microstation).

Responsibilities

• Perform complete designs of process engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Establish design criteria and communicate permitting needs to the project team.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient approaches.
• Produce design calculations and drawings for project checks.
• Coordinate with discipline leads for inter-disciplinary alignment.
• Develop bid packages for procurement of equipment/materials/services.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and assist designers as needed.
• Travel for client presentations and project tasks as required.
